Anatomy Arts is a multi-arts producer based in Edinburgh, doing regular performance cabarets for all ages, artist development, and unusual happenings. We bring many different sorts of artforms and many different sorts of artists together for events to surprise, shock and delight. We like diversity, accessibility, and really good art.
In our second year of funding from Creative Scotland, we are expanding the work we do and undertaking a period of organisational development. With CS support, we will be formally constituting the organisation, growing the team, and planning for the future.
We are looking for a freelance Marketing & Production Officer to join the team for the coming year.
We want an iconoclastic, energetic, and skilled individual who fits in well with our ethos. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and audience development, as well as assisting with event management and artist liason.
You should have experience of marketing and audience development, ideally in a theatre or performance environment, as well as experience of running events and of self-management. The core cabaret dates for which you must be available are: 21-22 September 2017, 7-8 December 2017, 8-11 March 2018, and 21-24 June 2018.
The post will be contracted on a freelance basis, and will involve at least 28 days’ work from July 2017 to July 2018, covering at least 7 events over the year, with additional potential work available by negotiation.
Anatomy operates a flat payrate for all of the team and artists of £100 per day, and a collaborative approach to organisation and management. We will be formally constituting over the course of the year and pursuing further funding, so this is an opportunity to be part of forming a new and lively team that has big ambitions for the arts in Scotland.
