ANATOMY NIGHT OF NEW PERFORMANCE
BRINGS CUTTING EDGE TO EDINBURGH
Alternative theatre, avant garde film and experimental art are coming to Edinburghon Friday 20th April for ANATOMY, a brand new night of performance that promises to bring a spectacular diversity of artists to Summerhall, a new arts quarter for the city.
Bringing together a range of artists from across the country, working in media from collage art to comic theatre, ANATOMY promises to showcase the kind of cutting edge art that Edinburgh often misses out on. Ali Maloney, a performer and one of the organisers of the event, said:
“Edinburgh’s an amazing city for culture, but between a spate of high profile independent venue closures and the dominance of international festivals, there aren’t many independent spaces for unusual and emerging artists to show their work. We want to be part of changing that – and to give audiences a great night while we’re at it.”
The night will take place in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre of the former Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, now becoming Summerhall, a year round home for theatre and gallery spaces, libraries, small museums, educational and research programmes, and artist and film studios.
